ggallin, u know how i know that u know shit about martial arts or self defense for that matter? u seem to justify an arts effectiveness to the number of fighters that appear in the UFC (a private company). this is in no way a way to guage in a martial arts worth, if this were so then judo, wrestling, boxing, and tkd would be the most important since they are olympic sports (a worldwide organization).
besides, i'd bet that any given number of fighters in the UFC did TKD at one point in their careers. and anyway ufc is mostly grappling and holds base, somewhat like wresting which in my book makes it comparable to spooning and dry humping and if i wanted to see that i'd walk to my local gay bar.
