A doctor is concidered a "professional" If they volunteer their services ie: African aide in a crisis,
they do not get paid......so explain yourself in depth about associating professionalism and money .....Not always go hand in hand.
Again, 'professional' refers literally to paid work. It's 'expert' that refers to competence.
But we're not here for an English lesson, so I'll just leave you to wallow in your anti-Americanism in piss... I mean, peace.
Ummm, I'm not simply stating this to bugger your balls dude. However, your assertion's on the usage of the term professional is incorrect. It does not simply state that to be professional requires payment. It also refers to the manner in which an individual conducts themselves.
As for TRUONE, they are professionals who volunteer their time. Making them volunteers but not negating the fact that they are professionals.

Case not closed!!! The term professional does not solely depend upon the 'professional' receiving payment. It is the education and the manner in which one conducts themselves that oblige them to be referred to as professionals. I understand the confusion. Most professionals get paid well. But that does not mean that the converse of the statement is true.

For example, 'apples are sweet' does not mean that 'all thing sweet are apples'. Do you follow me son? If further explanation is needed simply go to any of the numerous online free dictionaries and type in the term 'professional'. There you will see definitions referring to money received and the manner in which one conducts themselves, separately.
I'm not trying to be an ass but I'm buzzed and his use of the word is not incorrect.
