The baby's soft bones are no problem. I've known of babies falling off various surfaces and suffered no harm. The problem, as anyone who has held a baby knows (I've had 3), is that a baby's neck is too weak to support its head. Thank God this baby's head wasn't tucked underneath its body. The thought makes me shudder.
