This was a local event so I've been following it on the nightly news. As of thur this week the judge ruled that the two counts against the kid in the video and one count against the kid filming are with merit and the punks are still being held. Judge said they can be tried as adults on the felony counts but they are still being held without bond in the Tift County Youth Detention Center for their protection. Of course when they are found guilty they will be sent to a regular prison but in SW GA we don't put minors in adult facilities prior to conviction. During the trial they'll be transfered back to the local county jail.

When I was 10 weeks old, my dad was drunk and went to put me to bed, he placed me in th carrier cot on the bed even though in the past my mum had told him not to. The baby's soft bones are no problem. I've known of babies falling off various surfaces and suffered no harm. The problem, as anyone who has held a baby knows (I've had 3), is that a baby's neck is too weak to support its head. Thank God this baby's head wasn't tucked underneath its body. The thought makes me shudder.
