On my list of possible ways to kill myself, "by train" is #324...I wonder if any of you have thought about the state of mind a person would have to be in to take his own life - Although suicide is often linked to depression, there are events that happen in our lives that make doing the deed a good idea cos the pain of living far outweighs the short term pain of ending it - emotional pain from the loss of a loved one, pain from illness, etc. - Fortunately for most of us here, we haven't encountered such events and hopefully never will.

Unbearable emotional pain from the loss of a wife/husband that one finds impossible to overcome, is what I meant. Many of us here have experienced emotional pain from the loss of a loved ones, of course...just wanted to clarify that.
