there are no more "gangsters" anymore in my opinion. The only gang's and gangsters were the guys in the 20's and 30's. These kids today, are a bunch of morons coming together.
real gangsters didn't spend their day in the streets!

For my opinion... this is only those low position gangster... i believe they are backup by some business man it could be their local goverment. The head of the gangster are always to be one of the goverment. When the goverment did some shit and try to cover their own shit. this where this low position gangster start their work....
I believe this happen to many country as well. If you arent deep enough into gangster as you are only a normal resident. you wont know as much as what are your govorment are doing.
