You can't breed something to kill. IT IS TAUGHT TO KILL. A dog, ANY DOG, doesn't want to fight. Did you know that labradors lead in bite statistics? Just because PitBulls, which by the way isn't a breed it's a generalized name like being called "caucasian or hispanic", are one of the strongest breeds doesn't mean they are more dangerous than a small dog. Is a football player more dangerous than a ballerina dancer? NO.
I worked at an Animal Shelter where it was mainly all pit breeds and the meanest dog there was a little chihuahua.
Did you know that only 2 dogs from Mike Vicks had to be put down while all the others ones were able to be rehabilitated, some of those dogs are now THERAPY DOGS AND VISIT OLD PEOPLE AND GOTO THE V.A.
I could TRAIN a Labrador to be more vicious than a Pitbull. You know when they dog fight, they say that only 1 out of every 100 or so dogs, actually will fight. Why is that? Because PITS DON'T WANT TO FIGHT. You know what happens to those dogs that don't fight? They get brutally murdered.

Also Tinoski, you obviously haven't been around any pitbulls. My brother has 2 of them and all they do is lick your face and are very well behaved. If anyone ever fears a pit just goto my brothers house, THOSE TWO DOGS WILL change your mind on those dogs.
Saying Pitbulls are dangerous is like saying Blacks are dangerous. Just cuz they were raised wrong doesn't mean that the 'WHOLE' breed is bad.
Someone stated it earlier that a lot people get attacked by dogs that get mistaken for a pit. That's very true.
My parents Beagle is more crazy and psycho than any pitbull i've met.

Shiii***** watch old-films, and look at how many of the dogs in the films were pits. Little Rascals dog was a pit.

Also lack of Exercise can cause a dog to just attack. How or why? Well think about if you were behind walls everyday and weren't aloud to be a dog, it would build lots of frustration and anxiety and at some point you would break and just attack.
Not all dogs would attack, some would chew on furniture, dig, bark, chase their tails...etc... If a dog isn't getting it's daily exercise to drain all of it physical and mental energy, then results like this happen.
95% of dog owners don't know how to really take care of a dog and don't really know what it takes to own a dog. It's not just about feeding and giving affection. They are pack animals and have pack animal instincts. They need Exericise, Discipline before any affection. They are an Animal, but people think they are like humans. It's not that the owners are mean to the dogs, it's that they dont' know what the dog needs to stay happy/healthy and calm/submissive. That's when you have problems.

Being a police officer, Ive seen pitbulls do some very terrible things to Adults, Kids and even other animals. That is why they are banned in so many cities. Its sad that kids have to pay the price for people that try to act tough by having a pitbull as a "pet" with children around.
