Every logger knows that before you fall a tree (dead or alive) you had better look how it's going to fall and what will happen after it hits the forest floor. It happens all the time. I've even been swatted like a baseball by a large Maple tree that I didn't evaluate before cutting it down. I know they were not forest savvy loggers...they are both extremely lucky to be alive.
