It hurts me to think that no helped that person. Did you see at the end someone brought the crash cart! People have collapsed in front of me and I have literally leapt into action due to the instinct in me. I am not a nurse or anything, I just could not sit and watch someone keeling over and think they were being over dramatic or attention seeking. In all fairness I don't think everyone here thinks that giving the kid a monstrous beating is the way to go, I think what we mean is that smacking is sometimes the way to go. I was smacked as a child maybe 3 or 4 times, mostly for things I did that just didn't warrant a "chat". I grew up fine. I respected my parents and respected the fact that a whack might be around the corner if i wasn't careful. I think there is a middle ground somewhere between smacking and parenting. It just depends on the parent whether they get it right or not.
