Gil69, the info I found was at an old cached link from the Ogrish forums, over at: http://tinyurl.com/2qk78p . In that topic, there were a couple links to "911_call_no_address", which upon downloading from the Wayback Machine website, is the same audio clip posted here. While I'm not claiming that it's all factual, that was all the information I could really find on that site.

jqp364, I heard the audio myself, and I know what she said. The info I posted was taken from a topic at the TinyURL link above and in my previous post. As they link to the same audio clip in this instance, better some information than none. It's up to everyone to interpret as they please.

Well, I searched up some stuff, and found a bit more info:

"The intruder WAS heard by her, and seen as well, which prompted the initial telephone call to the 911 operator.

He was able to gain access so quickly as she lived in a (older)moble home in a moblie home community. Older moble homes, unlike the newer models, were little more than cheap tin boxes with equally flimsy doors…you could actually "pop" them open by leaning on some of them.

Determined killer? No, not determined, derranged.

You are correct in that the elderly lady was not stabbed…she was brutally beaten to death.

Yes, the elderly lady WAS indeed raped by this sick SOB…don't forget, this is only a portion of the entire 911 call, the rest deemed too graphic for public release.

As far as "making a run for it" goes, here is some background on those involved:

Victim: Female, 74 years of age, 5' 3", 83 lbs, severe hip arthritis…walked with the aid of a cane.

Criminal: Male, 23 years of age, 6' 2', 320 lbs, excellent physical health. Traces of PCP & Methenphetamine in his blood at time of arrest.

The victim (as you could imagine) was probably "rooted in place" from pure fright.


The operator didn't ask for the address due to the fact this lady called twice before with the same concern (regarding the same person) earlier in the day. It was assumed the victim was just a frightened "little old lady". (it was this case that prompted adjustments to the 911 call-centers to automatically show the address and phone number of the caller).

You'd be extremely suprised at how "calm" many of the more experienced operators are in these situations, which is why the "training period" is so demanding for those entering this line of work."
