The Eric guy thought he was a prankster and insulted people all the time. I pretended to be insane and made out that I had sent a story to his dean at school and that it was about Eric dressed in spandex and wanting to cover the deans mother in baked beans and have messy sex with her. I had to carry the joke on for a few days and make out that I had actually sent it but I hadn't. I had to fool everyone else to make it real as he could have seen it was bollocks in other peoples shout boxes. So now he feels so stupid, he won't come back ever again. It's better to do it like that than ban someone because if you ban them, they come back. Make them feel stupid and they dissappear.
