You should know by now that in the time that I've been here I have spoken out against racism and prejudice toward many different groups. I don't do it because I think they can't stand up for themselves, I sure as hell don't do it because it's "popular" (are you kidding, on NT it's more popular to be prejudiced), I do it because I think it's wrong.

Yes, for reasons you and I will probably never fully understand, some people do vote their own comments up to win COTD. Maybe they do it to feel better about themselves, maybe it's just to stir up shit on the internet for fun, maybe they cheat to vote up their friends' comments, whatever- who cares. But sometimes voting just looks weird because comments appeal to groups of visitors at a given time. Like, if one of your comments gets 7 votes between 6:30 and 7:30AM, does that mean you cheated? No. It just means the people online at the time liked your comment.
