Accident in Iceland Sends a Motorcyclist Flopping Like a Fish
Heh, too much front brake and tucked the front trying to slow it down. Obviously a 'run what you brung' night and not anybody with any kind of experience racing.

At least he put on a show for the crowd.

Female Rider Crashes into Another Wrecked Bike
Turn 8 at Willow Springs... one of the fastest and most dangerous corners on any roadcourse in the United States. If there is one place you don't want to crash, it's turn 8 at Willow. I've been around it many times.

All roadcourses are self cleaning when it comes to motorcycles. Just hold your line, or tighten it a bit, and stay on the power. Physics and interta will carry the garbage off the track, or at least off the line for you.

She was just a victim of target fixation, which is very common in someone without an assload of trackdays or roadracing experience. Something happens in front of you, and you get off the gas and stand it up, trying to pass it on the outside, while it's sliding off the track. You end up tracking it like a laser guided missile and nailing it dead center. Better to just train yourself to keep your eyes trained through the corner, ignore the incident, stay on the power, and go to the inside.

Male/Female makes no difference in this incident.

Dude Gets Left for Dead After a Brutal Fight
52 seconds in, you can hear the pop and see the flash.

Someone shoots him right in the head. Whatever it was, it was small caliber, .22 or .32 I'd guess, a real small semi-auto. Usually a rimfire round like that will penetrate the skull and just bounce around inside, without enough force to punch out the back.

You can see the entry wound literally right between his eyes in the last couple seconds of the clip, like somone had the gun right up to his forehead.

Pretty brutal stuff.

Classic Crash of Passengers Being Launched from a Racecar
It's a Formula 1 sidecar, an LCR to be specific. The reason it came apart like it was made of paper is because the body and most of the construction is a composite of carbon/kevlar and monocoque like a Formula 1 car. They use modern motorcycle engines, but have more in common with Formula 1 cars.

The LCR in this video broke a heim joint in the front suspension that caused the steering control arm to allow the front wheel to snap full right and send the rig off the track. The passenger suffered bumps and bruises, but the driver was out with a couple broken bones for the rest of the season. The crash was in 1996, driver Shane Soutar, Passenger Adolf Hanni.

You May Never Speed Again After Seeing This
Hahaha, My god... That ruled. How Sam Peckinpah.

You just know the head case in the wheelchair is going to go batshiat goth, buy every switchblade symphony album, and ruin every man she comes across from that point on. Kind of girl who farks like a dump truck. Eight seconds in and you're waiting for a buzzer and looking for the clowns so you can get out of there without catching a hoof to the head.

Don Renfrow is the Luckiest Man on the Planet
Man, I can't beleive I'm seeing this video again. It's been well over 18 years since I last watched it. This is my old High School auto shop teacher at a track that used to be in Fremont, CA called 'Baylands Raceway' across from what is now the NUMI plant on Hwy 880. I remember when he played the video for us in class and described the 57 shoebox getting away from him, shooting off the track, and the next thing he knew he was picking himself up off the grass while watching the remains of his Chevy still pinwheel down the outside wall.

For those wondering, he was wearing a four point belt, and it simply ripped clean from it's mounts, as did the seat frame from the force of that first roll. He was a bit unhinged to begin with, but damned if he didn't know all the tricks to make cars go fast. I learned a lot from him in two years of auto shop, and I'm still using that experience on the track today.
