Black people, in this country, use that word as a means of empowerment amongst one another. Both as reverance for a freind, and as a disparaging remark; However, a white person's use of it or any new versions you might think up along the way is racism. A young black man that feels there is no harm in calling his freind "nigga", is fine. Again, comments like that inadvertantly imply that that word belongs to the white man. Like you invented it, so you are the authority. (not YOU, humann. I mean white america.)

Racism is not inherant in the word. Racism is implied by its context. So if you use it when refering to a black person, as a means of identification of race to a person, to which nether of you are a part of, that is racism by its very definition.

What I see is young black american's took that word back. They have made it mainstream, and thier own. They make a clear distinction between "nigga" and "nigger", and everyone that is not of that race should shut the fuck up and respect that.
