I'm not up to date on the criminal justice system, but something about younger hooligans is all I hear about from friends who've moved and now reside there. I thought you didn't have to stop and listen to an officer, so long as they approached you and started a conversation. ( At least that's what I remember learning from my law classes. Know your rights, and in this case, resisting and giving them an intolerable reason to give it to ya just threw those just away).

I'd be annoyed too if someone kept hitting my partner. Although, I wouldn't have lashed out so abruptly. A simple jest would've been fine, but I wouldn't doubt a little alcohol wasn't obviously behind the jealous rage. I have to admit though, typical folks doing typical shit because they think it's cool. Looks like a group of high school students refusing to do a science project and had nothing better to do but get buzzed/drunk and try to figure out how to use a camera (I'm also 50/50 someone left their saying they were going to youtube the shit icon_rolleyes.gif ).
It's discouraging, that's what it is. The first thought that came to my mind within the first couple of minutes were A.) The guy is being wreckless and attempts to scare them by acting as though he was going to run over one of them, and B.) As the video goes on, the guy can't keep his eyes straight because every 2 seconds he's shouted another 20 profanities short of a world record. It also serves as another reason NOT to visit these states, wherever that may be. A few commentators thus far have noted that there are "rules" and simple codes of conduct in these areas, and I agree. Even though I grew up travelling overseas as a child (my dad is an environmental engineer and during the gulf war he mediated between the US government & Saudi government over the oil fields), the areas that hold similarities to these boot wearing, shit kicking honkies still holds true to this day. Alot of tight-knit idiocy with nothing to show but just that, idiocy. Also, on an end note, I know not everyone is like this in similar areas, but you can't tell me there aren't ones that are.

I remember seeing this awhile back, but it's crazy after he fires the first shot and the reporter realizes whats going on how the mother's hair goes flying forward. The reporter finally gets her wits and says let's go after yelping, and I am at least happy that the father wasn't senseless enough to hurt anyone OTHER than the verbal abusing mother. For those of you asking how jumping into water can hurt as suicide, let's put it this way: when you dive into the water you try to go in with the least amount of resistance. Well, when people belly flop or do a back flop it hurts like hell because you've just forced the hydrogen molecules in the water to act as a brief solid surface having not made a smooth entry into the water. Therefore, the wider and more spread out you are, the more the water is going to resist since it has to compensate for the area lost with the surface tension on impact. Even if you completely became a "stick" from that high, you're going too fast and don't give enough time for the surface tension to compensate accordingly.
Tragic. As a forensic psychologist student, I can officially say that from the video alone he exhibited a multitude of signs that go all the way across the board as far as psychological distress and disillusioned reality that distorted his own view on what his "fantasies and accomplishments were." Be it acute psychosis or just being a flat out manic/bipolar person, I would love to read or study his history before this event.
Notice that he attempts to but the other puts him back against the wall. I'd rather dodge them and later plan something devious. Don't know the entire story, but if all the other kid can do is throw chairs every minute, then I don't think he'd be smart enough to figure out the other kid put something in his drink from his Chemistry course icon_wink.gif

Typical over-the-top police wannabes. Grant it the whole story wasn't presented, I still find distaste in those that immediately take what they view in it's superficial entirety.
I know some people deserve somethings, but the asinine support lent from lame reinforcing comments stating she deserved it reminds me of how much of a loser some people can be since they believe everything they see/hear at face value.

1st off, don't fucking give me that bullshit, "Who do you call when you're in trouble, we need police." I know not all of them are power tripping making it nothing more than a shield case, but this is a prime example of how befuddled the officer's were and just how many more they needed to maintain the situation. For fuck sakes, then they proceed to act bad ass by puffing up their chests and telling other's in an "as a matter of fact" way what to do. I wouldn't have crossed over that line so that I then would get in trouble, but officer's always want to feel in control, whether they actually are or not.

p.s. Kinda reinforces all my "what goes around, comes around" mantra. I'm sure a boss has done something one day or another that was either unethical in business practices or towards his employee's (a.k.a. favoritism and nepotism seem to lead the least, otherwise something racial or sex related.)
seriously though, I'd never wish any actual harm on anyone, but I'm sure those who acted wrong towards me in the past will get whats coming to em.
Ok, I was fired from my job because I supposedly stole something (I was never told what, and they just said leave even though I had always been loyal to them and always worked to cover other's hours when they didn't show up), but that doesn't mean I'm gonna go and take a shotgun and tape it to the store owners head in hopes of getting re-hired. Fuck, I'm glad I left otherwise I wouldn't be sitting here at the beach with my laptop with my wonderful partner with my dream job. =) everything happens for a reason >.<, even if it doesn't initially seem good.

Wow, even if the person said anything procedural law states that if force while on duty is excessive from the official representing the law as opposed to the force used by the individual in question the officer then oversteps his boundary and violates law putting him in trouble.
You don't bring a knife to a gun fight do you? Well, thats what officers don't want to have to do, but the moment a gun instead of a knife is used on the officer THEN he may proceed to exude that kind of force. Although, the statement says "Anything you say can, and will be used against you in a court of law," I dont think the officer was in the right.
Verdict: the officer should be fired and stripped of gun and badge
