That's what I'm saying. People are so jaded by human death that they don't give it a second though, but when an animal's life is at stake they get all up in arms and want human life in exchange. Makes no fucking sense to me.
If the pup was injured there were betters ways to end it's misery, but to do this just for fun is awful. However, I would never wish death upon them.

My brother did something similar when we were kids. He got a small mouse from the pet store and made it walk the clothesline like a tight rope act, but then he got bored of that and pulled down on the line 'til it was taut and let go. The mouse went a good 40ft in the air and landed back on earth (lawn) fine. My brother thoroughly amused tried again, but this time let go just as the mouse was slipping off and ended up slicing it in half. We only found the top half that landed on a garden brick.
The moral of the story; aminal cruelty is just that, but regardless I would never chose an animals life over a human's.
