This is real i've seen it done in person when i was doing my training for being a security officer the guys who taught us were into judo and pressure points.
I've seen it done to the right point on the neck the guy just flops over like he's dead but it's rare for a person to die from them, they're located all over your body the main one they teach for security is the one on your one next to your wrist / arm which is used for several reasons. 1. if the attacker grabs your arm you can use it as leverage to take control 2. you can use it to bring the person down to the ground so you can cuff them.

^^ you'll see the one he hit, but one thing he don't mention is this technique really only works best on skinny people if you're a bulky person you have to work a lot harder to get the same effect, if he did that on me i'd probably just get dazed i doubt i'd go down.
