Not at all. I'm a vegan so why would i wear leather?
I have the same respect for every single creature.
And i think cows are as cute as puppies.
And i feel as bad about a puppy's death as i would feel for any other innocent's death.
I wasn't taught religions are a crutch for the weakminded, it was the opposite.
I was raised by people who strongly believe in God and always told me i would be weak if i didn't believe His word.
And even before i started having my own beliefs i thought of religion the way i do today, Mass behavior.

Yep, i am really 16.
Well first of all thank you for your compliment, i just read a lot and one of my main interests is Philosophy.
I'm not ashamed of being selfish, i can't really avoid it.
But you're right, moderation is the key. That's what i meant.
I agreed that society does keep humanity from their true nature but sometimes it stimulates and even encourages certain behaviors that i perceive to be very negative.
But i'll have to live with that, that is the closest to the 'perfect society, perfect balance, perfect justice' that we'll ever be, unfortunately.

But i actually do enjoy life. I enjoy the smallest things.
I love life.
I think you misunderstood me.
Sometimes i let it all build up inside me, that's why i said i was hopeless.
I can't ignore what i watch on the news or read about.
'Why do people give to charities? It makes them feel good, or maybe for a tax write-off, or maybe for political gain'
Not in my point of view. I can honestly say that i do certain things because i want others to feel good.
Yes, it's ME who wants them to feel good, but there you go, it's them i'm thinking about, i'm not the priority.
I'm not doing it for myself and i'm definitely not a martyr.
I hate conformity, when i set my mind to something i won't stop until i accomplish my goals.
I wouldn't say i'm greedy, i have a strong will. And there are other people like me out there, who have a strong will with no need to be extremely selfish.
I still have the same opinion.
We have the potential to achieve great deeds or do the exact opposite and ruin everything we have, because we haven't find the ballance between both due to the greed and selfishness in everyone.
It's not human nature to be shitty and cruel, the way society and its characteristics, from traditions to standards, have an influence (naturally) on people's life and behaviors turns them into that.
But if you see everyone as selfish beings who are incapable to do things for anyone but themselves, you have a problem too.
You're basically like me, except you got used to the 'truth' and while i try not to accept it, you just do.
I know it's just the way the world is, the good and the bad. I'm aware of my utopia.
I don't believe in Communism as a socioeconomic structure nor do i believe in any of those.
Plato believed that there was another world beyond this changeable and destructible one in which we live, one consisting of unchanging eternal Forms. He asserted that what we see and touch are only very distantly related to the ultimate realities that exist. I guess i believe in the same.

a) i'm not american, thankfully (and i do not hate the US, AT ALL)
b) i'm not even old enough to vote on my own country

And no, i won't sit here watching this video and laugh at it because a guy is throwing a living being around like an object to amuse himself.
Yes, it's 'just' a dog but would it be alright to kill mentally retarded, old, diseased people and babies because they're not useful and their lives wouldn't make any difference in this planet?
It's actually funny to read those comments of people saying it's insane to equate the life of a human being to an animal, why?
We're the intelligent ones, moral thinking is what distinguishes us from the other creatures that act on instinct yet we have certain behaviors that not even animals would have.
Just because we have the conscience to harm, that means we have to?
To me, someone who hurts another for no reason is just sick and disturbing.
Soldiers, terrorists and murders become the same to me.
Mankind appeals to violence in the search for peace, destroys the environment and the place we all live in. There are people killing their own children and doing all these hideous things to other people.

That is the issue and i don't have the solution.
I wouldn't say i'm against war, i don't support it, period. It actually makes me sad to know some families lose their members or entire families are killed just because Man doesn't know how to solve problems without spilling blood.
I am hopeless. The world won't change anytime soon.
I am just a 16 years old girl. Many of you see me as 'just' a teenager going through a phase, who will become just like you or even worse when it comes to opinions, in a couple years.
Others might see me as a caring young one worried about what i'm surrounded by and for that i deserve to be praised.
But i just i wish i wasn't one of the few who care, that's what matters to me.
