I strongly I mean STRONGLY doubt you can accomplish a bloody thing by placing faith in some intangible thing that a group of oppressed people cooked up to get them by in trying times. I'll always dislike religion, I despise how it tricks its followers into becoming so incredibly blind and desensitized to the truth. That type of swindling belongs with big corporations like Apple (I hate that computer company). I have my public emails and public IM screennames in the forums. Send me a message sometime. Youu seem like an intellectual But you can't cure mass hysteria and mental problems with holy water, crosses and prayer which is the case with exorcism ... Another thing science has no answer to is why a blind person can see the exact surroundings and people of a place where he has a Near-Death experience when he is floating outside of his physical body (that's in the link in my last response). . Anyway, I think I musn't have well explained the following quote: "Proverbs 16:3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed." I hope I haven't given you any false ideas about it, some people believe this means you can expect God to do everything Himself. . When you're trying to accomplish something, you must use all your willpower to do it while having complete trust in God and hoping, without any doubts, that He will help you. After all, He has the power to do anything (He is called the Almighty) and humans don't. It'll encourage you, and having assurance but also the gratitude afterwards was marvelous. This is what I have done with good results, much more than in the past. . Btw could you tell me what you mean by this, or give an example ? You write: "I despise how )religion) tricks its followers into becoming so incredibly blind and desensitized to the truth." I don't understand what you mean. . Otherwise, send me a PM anytime. |

Thanks for appreciating my dedication I'm sorry my good friend but I don't buy into a 2,000 year old novel. I consider it to be nothing more then a collection of fairy tales or bedtime stories meant to give hope to a (at the time) hopeless people. While I must admit your dedication to such a cause is truly admirable, religion corrupts...it doesn't save. I'll give you the best response I can for this post. So you think it's all fairy tales ? How do you explain exorcism then ? And there's this too: people who had a Near-Death experienced the afterlife. (You can find a lot of info about this on google/youtube etc). Even people born blind could see the surroundings; where they were at the time of the Near death experience, the Heavens and Jesus himself. It's better explained here http://www.near-death.com/experiences/evidenc e03.html But it's mostly having faith in him that will get you to know Him. God says in the Bible "If you seek me with all your heart, you will find me",Deuteronomy 4:29 I would know, that's exactly what I did (I have always been a Christian, but I didn't always understand how I to relate to Him). I have experienced and still experience the Joys of following His will in life and am grateful for what He did for me. And trust me, you can accomplish a lot in life by putting trust in Him, as this scripture says.Proverbs 16:3 Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed. I've done it myself. What is your conception of God anyway ? This is what He REALLY stands for: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YejWW5ocedQ. He is a God of love who forgives every kind of sin when you repent (repenting: basically regretting and turning away from a sin one has committed). (I had to make a slight edit) |
