Volcano Eruption
Maurice and Katia Krafft along with 41 others were killed on june 3rd 1991 during an eruption and the following pyroclastic cloud from Mt Unzen. I think this was the cloud that killed them.

A 77 grain projectile from a 5.56mm Nato round has 1,293 foot pound force "fpf" at around 2,750 feet per second.
A 750 grain .577 T-REX has 10,180 foot pound force at around 2,460 fpf
