Actually we didn't if you read a little history. It was only with the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor that Americans where moved to action. Most Americans felt like it was a European problem and were strongly opposed to getting involved. As far as Hitler attacking the US he'd have spent decades just to truely consolidate his conquered European holdings before he'd have been able to do so and by then trade would have softened the edges enough that co-existence would have been much more appealing and profitable.

Actually you don't understand our system. The poor have Medicaid, a publicly funded medical insurance, the working poor have sliding fee scales based on income and publicly funded and no one is left to suffer on a rationing waiting list. So FAIL. It is far from perfect but the standard of care is much higher than in the majority of systems like England's. As far as "giving" us our country, actually we fought this little thing we like to call the War of Independence where we pretty much had to shove our freedom up England's arse so FAIL again. Don't get me wrong I like the English, they make good butlers and such but no.
