To answer your question however, I don't think religion or Islam has anything to do with the insurgents motive. Just pure evil. Country destroying idiots fooled by wicked so called holy leaders. Oil is not an issue anymore. All country leaders want out. Believe me I know. There are other ways to secure oil supplies. And the truth is the insurgents (unlike occupied France in WW2) are not fighting for peace or their country not even religion. They are fighting for power between themselves. They are fighting each other, like they always have.
