I got tired of risking my life so that McDonalds can a sell cheeseburgers...
I can't get my head around the fact that 2 of my friends died protecting gatorade....
I can't bring myself to throw away my uniform that has friends blood on it.
I realize it's morbid, but I still have my other friends teeth that were stuck in my side sappi plate....
I can't get over the fact my friends would both have likely survived if the guys in the 915 behind us knew how to use a radio....
I realized I was risking my life when I enlisted. I just thought that the republicans in power, the ones who "support" the military, would honor my sacrific by putting my life in danger only in the most dire of circumstance.

I'm sorry about your friends. I was only in the Navy and never in the line of fire, but I served.
My two major beefs with your comment/attitude are: You were not fighting for McDonald's or Gatorade, but the freedom of the system that allows anyone who wants to AND IS WILLING TO WORK FOR IT pursue their dreams. I'm sad you think it's a crappy system. Secondly, I would contend that the republicans in power are not the problem when it comes to supporting the military. The Dems constantly vote down appropriations and funding for the military. They prefer socialism to freedom.
Just my two cents.
