Cop Runs Red Light Crashes into Car Killing Two Teens
"Yield right of way?" Even if you are correct, you shouldn't have to die and since the speed limit was FORTY MILES PER HOUR, a normal crash probably wouldn't have killed anyone. Over 90 miles an hour is often death to someone. That's an extreme speed. But at 138 feet per second, it'd be interesting to see how my Andrettis here would judge the approach speed of the other officer correctly. I doubt few can and it's a good reason they don't have crossing intersections on high speed roadways.

Only two cruisers have video cameras and they only activate and record the last 30 seconds and up when the lights and sirens are activated. That's a few flaws in the system. It's going to cost $79K to install 7 more cameras according to the article. What a ripoff. I've put video in my car on occasion with a $35 Swann camera from Menard's and a 15 year old camcorder and it looks just as good or better at night as these overpriced dash cams.

It was just a little play time between the two which is probably why he zipped on past. And when people look at oncoming traffic for a fraction of second to judge if they have time, they usually expect the approaching vehicle to be going the normal speed and based on distance gives them X amount of time to make a turn. If they are teens and/or didn't look long enough or were distracted by the non crashing squad car (I know I eyeballed all cops I spotted as a teen), it's very easy to see how they never saw or had no chance to avoid the other one if it was going that fast. The clearer version is just sickening.

CCTV Shows Cop Beating Special Needs Kid at High School
We can't see what came out that kid's pocket, special needs my ass. The shirt goes up when his left hand goes to his pocket and when he turned it seemed the officer thought whatever it was that he had to immediately disable the kid. I can't see any other reason he'd attack the kid in front of other people.

Joe Francis Violently Attacks Playmate at Club CCTV Footage
Hard to see anything but it appeared he got pissed because she grabbed and pulled at his hair a few times so he went tit for tat and yanked the crap out of her hair and then they just shoved him out the door.

Chilling 911 Audio of Fatal 120 MPH Accident As It happens
The engine can often be more powerful than the brakes holding ability. I had the cruise control not turn off at it's 55 mph setting in a Ford and I was standing on the brake at the base of the off ramp and the car was pulling forward still. I had to (surprise, surprise) turn the car off. When I restarted it, it overrevved and finally kicked out of the cruise setting. This was during a test drive. Ford had a recall shortly after as this was a not an unusual defect.

If he boiled the fluid in his regular brakes, even the manual handbrake isn't going to win over the power of a Lexus at full throttle. The handbrake usually only operates two weeks and it only about as good as the strength of the driver. Some cars have on/off buttons now. Toyota says you have to hold it for 3 seconds like some shitty computer to turn it off. Screw it, shift it to neutral and blow the engine. It's your life.

I'll admit the whole "push the on/off button for 3 seconds" is a ridiculous way to control a car. They need to come up with a faster way to kill the engine in a non keyed car.

We are really getting dumber and dumber if we can't think our way out an easy situation like this. He probably boiled the brake fluid trying to slow it over the power of the motor but there is nothing preventing anyone from shifting the car into neutral or turning the key part way. Just amazing someone had that much time to build up that speed and burn out the brakes but couldn't figure that out.

Kid On Roller Coaster Hit In His Face By Broken Cables
They use the magnets to stop the ride. It's hydraulics, a "catch car" that pulls it up to speed and a cable. If they were hit by a cable I would expect them to have no face but they got hit by something nonetheless.
